This Privacy Policy explains how AVU Technologies operating as AVU Technologies (“AVU”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our website, mobile app, PhonePe checkout, booking tools, and support channels.

By creating an account, placing an order, booking a service, or submitting a form, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

AVU Technologies sells CCTV and related security products and offers site survey / installation booking primarily for Hyderabad & surrounding areas.

We collect information you provide, information created by your orders and bookings, and limited technical data needed to run a secure online store.

• Account details: name, phone, email, password hash (we do not store plain-text passwords), Google account identifiers when you use Google Sign-In.
• Customer profile and saved addresses.
• Contact details from enquiry / grievance forms.
• Delivery and installation addresses, including unit/building notes and landmarks you enter.
• Order lines, pricing, payment status, and fulfilment status.
• Booking details: service preferences, preferred date/slot, camera counts, premises notes, quote totals.
• Payment metadata from PhonePe (transaction references, status). We do not store your full card or UPI PIN.
• Device/browser type, approximate logs, and IP address used for security and rate limiting.
• Cookies / local storage for session, cart, and preferences (see Cookie Policy).
• Location coordinates or place details when you choose a map pin, Places search, or device location for delivery/installation.
• Push notification device tokens if you enable notifications in the app.
• Internal admin WhatsApp alerts about orders/bookings are sent to AVU staff only — not to other customers.

We use personal information to:

• Process and fulfil product orders and deliveries.
• Schedule, confirm, and perform installation / site-survey bookings.
• Verify payments with PhonePe on our servers (browser “success” screens alone are not treated as proof of payment).
• Provide customer support, track issues, and handle grievances.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
• Improve site reliability and product catalogue accuracy.
• Send transactional messages (order/booking updates). Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and can be declined through available channels.

We share data only as needed to operate AVU. Current processors include:

• PhonePe — payment initiation and status verification.
• Google — Sign-In (Identity Services) and Maps / Places / Geocoding when a Maps API key is configured for address picking.
• Cloud hosting / database providers that host our website, API, and media.
• Email delivery for transactional mail.
• Meta WhatsApp Cloud API for outbound admin operations alerts (staff recipient configured by AVU).
• Optional product analytics via Vercel Analytics on the website (page metrics / custom events). We do not run a separate advertising pixel suite unless later configured.

We use access controls, HTTPS, hashed passwords, and least-privilege admin roles. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep OTP/email links private.

We retain order, booking, payment, and grievance records for as long as needed for fulfilment, warranties, disputes, and legal retention. Account deletion requests are handled as described below, subject to records we must keep.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, withdraw marketing consent, and raise a grievance.
